Pastor's Blog - July

Let me quote Matt 21:22; “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (NIV) As I was reading this verse I was reminded of my motivation in prayer. Why should I believe for answered prayer? What is my real motive? Who will my prayers benefit? Are my prayers and beliefs selfish in nature? I was also reminded of Jer 17:9; "The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; who can understand it?” NAS I can’t possibly know my motives as my heart often times deceives me! However, I can pray with faith and ask the Lord for answers. The discernment of motives is His to determine. I will trust Him!
