Time Management

The one thing it seems no woman has enough of is time !  I hear women all the time complaining about the lack of time.  It doesn't matter if they are single, married, with or without children, time seems to be the one thing everyone wants more of!  No matter how strong you are in your faith, no matter how well Mark 11:23 works for you, there is simply not going to be more than 24 hours in a day.  What is the best way to deal with the lack of time? I have always heard of people prioritizing, routines, etc.  although these things can be helpful for getting things done, they aren't really going to help someone deal mentally with a lack of time, and that is really why a lack of time bothers people so much it's stressful!  Here's a few techniques I thing will help with a lack of time.

Time Management is all about perception and attitude.  Anytime something I have to do stresses me out, I try to look at that task from a different angle.  My son plays baseball and my husbands's work schedule does not allow him to attend many practices or games, so I get to be the chauffeur and head cheerleader.  The other week, I could feel myself starting to get irritated about having to leave work 30 minutes early to get home to make sure my son was ready for the game.  I thought for a minute about my neighbor, who lost her eight year old son in an accident two years ago.  She give all her possessions to be able to take her son to a ballgame.  After I had that realization, I knew what a blessing it was to be able to go to my son's games and all my stress went away!  Whenever I get irritated about cleaning my house I remind myself how good it is to have a house to clean. The way you think about things can change your level of stress, and if you don't have a lot of stress, a lack of time may not be a big deal!

I agree!! It seems as tho there is not enough time in the day to all that I want to do and it could get stressful. When I feel myself getting stressed out I stop and remember also how blessed I am to be able to do things. I'm thankful of being free to make my on choices. I'm thankful to have a home, car, and job also. I guess when you really look at it--time has never sped up...it is the same as always....We have just chosen to make our lives busy!
