SUNDAY NIGHT MIND DUMP
- GREAT, I mean GREAT day today! Dads were ministered to, we had 5 saved, and we got out in plenty of time for families to go eat.
- Ruben hit a grand slam today. You can feel the energy in the house when we break out into a little during one of the songs.
- Our new 8:30 drummer, Leo Esquivel did a great job. Really into it!
- Gift give aways really went well on Sunday night. One of our best ideas to date.
- Thought it was awesome watching Ish Gonzalez walk up with his grandson to claim first prize, a Brinkman grill. Tough choking back the tears as we read the letter on why his grandfather is the best dad. Steaks on the grill this week. Yeah….come on!
- Went car shopping this weekend. I hate dealing with car salesman. (No offense Bobby)
- Lonnie and Rhonda are on a little mini vacation this weekend. Missed them in service.
- I’ve been reading about the life of David in the bible all week and God is rocking my world! What a great leader but you learn as much from his mistakes as you do this success.
- It is hot!
- I’ve been transitioning my leadership lately and while it has me out of my comfort zone, it is needed for us to go the next level. I am called to pastor First Assembly, not be everyone’s friend. I love it when I can be both but some people can’t handle it. I’ve had to wear my “pastor” hat a lot more and I think for the first time ever, I am comfortable with that.
