SUNDAY NIGHT MIND DUMP!
- Sunday is . . . game day . . . impact time . . . evangelism hour . . .resurrection day. . .prime time . . . focal point . . . the super bowl, world cup and world series all rolled in one! I love Sunday.
- Attendance was way down...I guess the rising gas prices are not stopping people from traveling. I hate the summer!
- Ruben was a little short handed on Sunday and yet worship went well...still missed Marcus on the electric guitar....Happy Birthday!
- Again, where was everybody? Even those who weren't working fireworks couldn't make it to church! Wonder if they slept in and didn't go to work on Monday?
- Good to see Pastor Tom's parents who were visiting for a couple of days...Wow does Tom look like his dad.
- With Pastor Manual closing out the series on Sunday night I decided to unplug. I’ve always thought that to charge something up it must be plugged in. However, that is not always true. Sunday afternnoon I took some time to do the opposite. No not a nap...what a waste....I sat down by myself and scribbled one question: “God, what do you want to say to me?” I can’t recall the last time I asked that question and really sought an answer. My day by myself proved to be one of the most peaceful moments that I can recall. Did I get all my questions answered? No. I got more than answers, I got to be with Jesus. Isn’t He what we REALLY need anyway.
- Final Revolutionary throughts: I want Heart Revolution. I don't want the loveless vacuum of a character defined by "What I Can't Do" or "What I am Against" or "The Rules I'm Committed To." I want Heart Revolution. We find this transformation though the acceptance of amazing grace and the discipline of arranging our lives around practices that keep us in "the flow of the Life and Love of the Father." What are the practices you are arranging your life around? Do they keep you in the flow of the Life and Love of the Father?
- Next month...superheroes of the bible...I love beginning a new series...can't wait till next Sunday!
