the water project
Stacy Sipple @ Sep 9, 2007 10:24 PM
So the water project is underway! It's such an amazing thing to see the youth work together with the church to save the lives of thousands of people. I just want to thank every person out there who is getting involved, whether you are helping, or simply donating your money towards it. I just want to see what peole have to say about it and if you think this is a good idea

It is really good that the youth group has undertaken a very important mission project. Helping others is what we are told to do in the Bible, we have been taught by our parents and Sunday School teachers to share and help those less fortunate. This is a large undertaking for students who notoriously do not have money but can figure out ways to save money a little at a time, pool the savings and in a joint effort provide clean drinking water for thousands who do not have that simple gift we take for granted everyday.
Stacy,
I think it's a very good thing you guys are doing. It's so refreshing to see the students getting involved. You all are an inspiration for the entire church. Jeff I am a girls youth leader at my home church and I think it is a wonderful thing when we illustrate the Lord's love to us by reaching out to those in need. We are starting a program in our group this Tues. evening where we will have many opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the surrounding community areas. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you!
Stacy,
Please continue to share yoru thoughts. Us old folks at the church need to know what's on the mind of the next generation of leaders. You, Holly, Grace, Daniel, Kelly, Nathan, and the rest of the gang are the future of the church and the future of Christianity. When those of us who are in leadership positions today move on, we need someone ready and able to take His torch and light the way for the world. Like it or not, your generation will be the future leaders and you will be called upon to fix the mess my generation has left behind. Add Your Comment |
