What a great website!
www.echurchnetwork.net

I just went through a whole slew of profiling that really confirmed to me that I know God wants to use me in my church.

I started with the personality profile and was provided a wealth of information that tells me who I am, not only in certains areas of my personality, but how I can be used by God to my fullest potential.  I am also very excited to learn some things about myself, which I knew to be a concern for going into ministry.

I knew that I was an influencer in any organization that I am a part of, but did not how that could be a negative thing as well.  If I am not committed to growing spritually or being in the Word daily (in the Spirit), super leaders can be very dangerous to an organization. They must stay on track with the overall leader of the organization to be successfull and not become a distraction.  The Super Leader must be connected to the Pastor, God and be in prayer so that all can be on the same page.  And, the super leader must know when to take a back seat and not be too over powering regarding change.  In other words, just relax and let God's plan unfold instead of forcing it.

Super Leaders are visionary and change agents.  Often times, they are excellent strategic planners and leaders in new ministry ventures.  This is definitely where I can see myself.  I love to develop new ideas and start the planning process of new ministries.  In fact, my wife and I have been kicking a few ideas around that I really need to get on paper.  I think those will become my new projects.

I then hit the grace gifts tab and went through this exercise to learn a few more things about myself.  I scored high in three categories that I believe mesh with the super leader very well: faith, leadership and new ministry development.  Huh?  Looks like I am on to something, especially since the other three that I scored one less on were: Word of knowledge, teacher and wisdom.

Finally, I went through the leadership style questionaire and found that I am a pioneer leader.  I am willing to push myself to get new programs and projects going, but tend to peter out when the are established.  I am always looking for the next idea or project to get going.  I am also like Paul...did not know that.  Paul is a great example of a leader who is focused on pushing the boudaries of the church, despite the personal risk.

My goal is to now use the gifts in the areas identified by these tools to the good of God's church.
